I am not what happened to me,

I am what I choose to become. — Carl Jung

My Story

I see myself as the archetypal “wounded healer.” I am a trauma survivor, and believe the physical and emotional wounding in my life have been my biggest teachers. My painful experiences led me on a journey to seek healing, understanding, and awakening. This growth-filled journey opened me up to my intuitive gifts and provided me with the tools, experience, and awareness to skillfully guide others on their healing paths.

Being in the role of supporter, healer, guide, therapist, and teacher is where I am fulfilling my life purpose. It is my greatest honor to be a source of light and support to you as you navigate the oftentimes murky and turbulent terrain of the healing path. My commitment is to walk alongside you in discovering and creating a more joyful, fulfilling, and healthy life.

I have 10 years of experience working as a Lifestyle and Mental Health Coach and am currently pursuing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a yoga instructor and use a trauma-informed, somatic and mindfulness-based approach in my practice. I am passionate about sharing holistic healing modalities through one on one sessions, within groups, and in retreat settings.

My Philosophy

While mental health challenges can certainly have a biological component, I work through the lens that says these symptoms are exacerbated by a dysregulated nervous system and fragmented or exiled internal “parts.” Chronic dysregulation and fragmentation is a result of painful and traumatic life experiences and/or chronic stress, where we lacked the tools and care to create safety in our system.

Health and healing comes through nervous system regulation and bringing compassionate awareness to our painful “parts” and experiences and integrating them into wholeness. This is done through somatic (body-based) and mindfulness modalities, internal family systems, neuroplasticity, self-compassion and acceptance, and polyvagal techniques. These modalities combined address the cognitive (mind), somatic (body), and spirit in both a top-down and bottom-up approach creating health, healing, and resolution to the system.

Each of us need the tools, guidance, and support to help us achieve the lifestyle we desire. In our therapeutic relationship, I will deeply listen to you, provide unconditional positive regard, guide and support as we unearth and work through painful experiences, provide encouragement and regulation tools, and ultimately empower you.

I pride myself in having walked, and continuing to walk the journey of healing, self-work and discovery, which I believe provides deep insight and understanding to the clients I work with.

I look forward to joining you in your sacred journey.
