Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in a first session?
In our first session, we’ll take time to explore what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you have about the process. I’ll ask about your history, current challenges, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.
How long does therapy typically last?
Therapy is a deeply personal process, and the length varies depending on your goals, needs, and progress. Some clients find relief in a few months, while others engage in longer-term work. I tailor treatment to your unique situation, whether you’re looking for structured short-term therapy or ongoing support.
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
I currently offer virtual sessions. Virtual therapy is a great option for flexibility, convenience, and healing from the comfort of your home.
What is the cost of sessions and do you take insurance?
Individual psychotherapy sessions are $125. I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem/BCBS, and Cigna. For out-of-network insurances, I can provide super bills for reimbursement. I work with Thrizer, a service that allows you to only pay a copay amount for out of network sessions once deductible is met, typically saving clients an average of 70 percent of my full rate.
