Healing from Trauma

Post-Traumatic Growth

Trauma isn’t just something that happened in the past—it’s something that lives in the body, shaping the way you feel, think, and respond to the world. If you find yourself stuck in cycles of anxiety, shutdown, or emotional overwhelm, it’s not because something is wrong with you. It’s your nervous system doing its best to keep you safe—even when those old survival patterns are no longer needed.

I utilize a body-centered, nervous system-focused approach to trauma healing. Rather than just talking about what happened, we work on somatically (in the body)—helping your system release stored survival responses and develop a felt sense of safety.

How I Approach Trauma Treatment

  • Nervous System Regulation & Polyvagal Theory: Your nervous system is wired for survival, constantly scanning for danger or safety in your environment. Using Vagal Toning, we can gently help your system shift out of fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown, and into safety and regulation.

  • Somatic Experiencing: Trauma is stored in the body, not just the mind. Through slow, intentional body-based work, we help release stuck energy, restore balance, and build resilience without overwhelming your system.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Many trauma survivors feel disconnected from themselves, struggling with inner conflict, self-criticism, or parts of themselves that feel frozen in the past. IFS helps you compassionately connect with these parts, bringing them into an integrated, healing relationship.

This gentle, non-retraumatizing approach allows you to heal at your own pace while rebuilding trust in yourself and your body. You don’t have to relive the past to heal from it—you just need the right support to help your system find its way back to safety.
